About Tuuli Tolmov

I’m Tuuli Tolmov — a fantasy author, archaeologist, and lifelong lover of myth, history, and the kind of stories that ask what if? After publishing five novels in Estonian, I’m now sharing my worlds in English through The Booktamer Chronicles, a series about living books, forbidden knowledge, and ancient gods.

I love building worlds from the ground up and following characters who don’t quite fit the mould — people with flaws, hopes, and quiet resilience. My heroines tend to be strong but still feminine, curious enough to ask the questions they probably shouldn’t.

Before The Booktamer Chronicles, I explored dark folklore and mythological themes in my Estonian novels, which deepened my love for worldbuilding and character-driven fantasy. 

Outside of writing, I hold a bachelor’s degree in archaeology and am currently pursuing a master’s with a focus on zooarchaeology and the Neolithic period. When I’m not studying bones or ancient rituals, I’m usually spending time with my two children.
